Full METAR and TAF weather information in a raw and decoded format with more than 40,000 airfields all over the world, and this includes NOTAM data.
Including the ability to save up to 5 airfields of your choice, using ICAO or IATA codes, nearby airfields, or by simple searching the name of the airport.
An intuitive colour timeline shows the list of your favourited airfields, featuring Green, Amber and Red for instant situational awareness of current and upcoming weather severity. The weather state is filtered based on pre-defined minimas for VFR, MVRR and LIFR / IFR.
The sliding timeline features real-time weather data that enhances situational awareness, displaying icons that show wind speed and direction, visibility, cloud, weather state and runway visual range.
Making it instant for pilots to gain an overview of any weather issues that may cause problems for your current or upcoming flights. The feature to slide along the timeline and view upcoming TAF data in this aviation weather app is truly designed with pilots in mind.
The timeline displays the current time of METAR data within a one hour range and TAF data for the upcoming next few hours. You can also adjust the timeline to your preferred time settings!
Tapping any of the airfields on the timeline, provides an in-depth view of METAR and TAF information in multiple formats. Available as either raw, decoded and the latest weather trends.
Featuring additional METAR and TAF data, such as temperature, dew point, humidity, UV index, pressure, ceiling, and more, all displayed on a user-friendly and intuitive interface.
The 'Latest METAR' toggle at the top of the timeline screen, allows you to view a condensed version of the METAR information for your selected airports.
You can also view up-to-date NOTAM information for each airfield sourced directly from our trusted operational data feeds.
Our NOTAM feed provides information for the next 24 hours, filtered by subject or the latest updates. NOTAMs can also be viewed in both light and dark mode, as can everything else within the pilot weather app.
The airfield watch app lets you set up various alerts to stay informed about significant weather changes. You can create two alerts per airfield, focusing on changes in wind, visibility, cloud cover, and overall weather conditions.
On the timeline, each airfield also displays a small blue circle icon next to the name, whenever there has been weather changes that the user has yet to look at.
Additionally, there are various unit customisation options to tailor the information to your specific preferences. You can currently customise the units for speed, visibility, temperature, time, altitude and pressure.
The current minima settings are pre-defined based on our most used operational settings. We anticipate that this feature will soon be available in the app, allowing pilots and users to customise it according to their preferred minima settings.
In summary, the Airfield Watch app is an intuitive aviation weather mobile app, for pilots and aviation enthusiasts. It provides quick access to decoded METAR, TAF and NOTAM information from reliable real-time data, enhancing situational awareness.
