Living Wage Champions 2019

At last night's annual Living Wage Champion Awards, our sister company Keyzo IT Solutions was recognised for its commitment to paying the voluntary living rate and promoting the Living Wage in the tech industry and supply chain, leading more employers to pay the real Living Wage.

The company was awarded the 'Industry Champion Award' for its dedication to promoting the voluntary rate.

Keyzo IT specialise in the design and development of personnel software for HR functions across all industries, helping the management, administration, human resource department, health & safety officers and the employees they manage beome more organised and efficient by making access to critical information available in one place.

Katerina Rudiger, Judge of the Industry Champion Awards, said: "The nominees for this category were all outstanding with every single business nominated truly going above and beyond to champion the Living Wage in their respective sectors. However, Keyzo IT really stood out as a truly people centred business that has, on several occasions, shown real leadership by hosting events and publicly promoting the benefits of the Living Wage in order to encourage other businesses in the tech sector to join the Living Wage Movement."

Shane Spencer, Managing Director, Keyzo and Bytron, said: "We're very proud to have been given this award and to pay the real Living Wage. Paying the real Living Wage is simply the right thing to do and, as a notable employer in the region, we hope that other local employers follow our lead."

Therisa Thompson, HR Manager, Keyzo and Bytron, said: "Being a Living Wage Employer shows our commitment to be an ethical business and a responsible employer and supports our drive to becoming an employer of choice. We were keen to be part of the Living Wage in Tech Leadership Group as we want to lead the way, shoulder to shoulder with other responsible companies within the tech industry."

The real Living Wage is currently £9.00 across the UK and £10.55 in London. Unlike the Government's minimum wage or so-called Living Wage, it's independently calculated based on the cost of living. There are currently 5,000 Living Wage employers that pay the real Living Wage including Keyzo.

Katherine Chapman, Director of the Living Wage Foundation, said: "The last year has been particularly successful for the Living Wage Foundation as we've see through the 5,000th Living Wage Accreditation. Our awards are an opportunity to recognise the fantastic businesses who continue to recognise the importance of a wage that truly covers the cost of living, and the value this provides for workers and their families, as well as businesses."

The annual Living Wage Champion Awards celebrate notable employers that pay the Living Wage. Last night's awards were hosted by Martin Lewis at Guildhall, London and sponsored by AvivaHeathrow and City of London.
